Check your codes before printing labels

A label can look right and still contain the wrong code. Markio checks your catalog for common barcode problems and groups issues for review, so you can decide what to change before printing a new batch.

The Free plan includes the audit report, barcode and SKU generation, scan verification, and PDF label printing. Pro adds bulk fixes, scheduled checks, and more ways to print.

Catalog audit

Review 14 types of code issue, including duplicates, missing values, invalid check digits, and unsupported characters. Find duplicate barcodes.

Preview and undo bulk changes

Compare the proposed values with your existing codes before applying a batch. Undo checks the current Shopify values and skips conflicting changes. Available on Pro.

Barcode and SKU generation

Fill missing codes using prefixes, patterns, and sequence numbers. Generate internal barcodes or use a GS1 company prefix licensed to your business. Build your SKU rules.

Custom label templates

Arrange product fields, metafields, market prices, images, and conditional elements. Set label dimensions from 0.25 to 12 inches, or use Avery sheets and custom grids, including partially used sheets.

Admin, POS, and Zebra printing

Print size-matched PDFs from Shopify admin. Pro adds direct Zebra ZPL printing and printing from Shopify POS.

Labels for received stock

Import received quantities from a CSV and match products by SKU or barcode. Review the matches and quantities before printing. Available on Pro.

Free scan verification

Scan a code to check which product it matches, or see whether the match is missing or ambiguous. Troubleshoot a barcode that will not scan.

Print history and staff access

What to know before you start

Allow the print tab to open

Admin printing opens a separate browser tab. Allow pop-ups for Shopify admin, then follow the setup guide for your printer. Direct Zebra printing requires a compatible local printing service.

Use a CSV for received quantities

Markio does not import native Shopify purchase orders directly. Use a CSV of the items and quantities received, then check the product matches before printing.

Print product labels

Markio prints from products, collections, scans, and receiving files. It does not import customer orders or provide a “print labels for this order” action.
